Mel Samms – Director

I joined Blackthorns in 2017 and became a director in 2018.
I have a long history of working in administration in an accountancy practice and also have a Marketing Diploma with the Institute of Direct Marketing.
I am responsible for the administration department and the marketing for Blackthorns.
Away from work I have played netball for many years but as I am not getting any younger I now only play occasionally!
I am very competitive whether it’s a game of rounders or a game of Connect 4 with my daughters and I love spending family time with them.
Most Sundays you will find me at Oasis Church in Harborne and I enjoy socialising with my church friends.
I love a holiday in the sun and I am hoping to do more travelling now my family have grown up a little.
